And everyone plays a role on set.

With a lot of planning, a stellar team of gifted photographers, stylists, models, hair and makeup experts, and the rest of us with eyes wide open, photo shoots are pulled off successfully.

We're never 100% sure whether the sun will shine, ice cream won't melt, dogs will fetch, fire alarms won't go off, or the talent will stay on task (mostly a challenge with 5-year-olds and animals), but at the end of the day, we're all sure that everyone brought something special to the team to make a shoot a success.

Some say they'd rather not be "in the weeds" with details at work, but it's our job. We're up to our eyeballs in the weeds through every step of the process, for every publication.
